Greyhound racing is the second largest spectator sport in Britain. It is fun and exciting to watch but imagine how much more thrilling it can be to see your own greyhound winning. Owning a greyhound at Walthamstow Stadium – Europe’s premier greyhound racing venue – can be less expensive and easier than you imagine.

A greyhound can be purchased for as little as a few hundred pounds. Kennel and training fees charged by Professional Trainers attached to Walthamstow Stadium vary between £42 and £49 per week (ex. VAT). Winners prize money for graded races range from £80 to £165 and appearance money from £23 to £29 per run. All named owners receive a special pass, which entitles them to Free Admission to all meetings held at Walthamstow Stadium (Syndicates are entitled to four passes)..

Please remember under NGRC rule 18 that the responsibility for making acceptable arrangements for a greyhound’s retirement from racing is that of the last registered owner.
